To help with that challenge, we developed the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/buildersmovement.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Builders-Education-Resource-Action-Guide-June-24-2024.pdf\"><b>Builders Education Resource &amp; Action Guide<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the latest tool in our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/buildersmovement.org\/resources\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Builders Toolkit<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This guide is aimed at helping anyone in the education system push back against the divisions that surround us.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Who is this resource for? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s made for teachers, administrators, legislators, students, parents, and community leaders. In short, it\u2019s for anyone in a position to help foster critical and independent thinking among young people.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What\u2019s in it?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The guide includes best practices, resources, and recommendations for those working in middle school to college education. We highlight more than 100 recommendations across 6 areas, and more than 90 organizations, including nonprofit, university, government, and communal-led initiatives. These resources will help you:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Promote critical thinking and digital literacy<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Foster ideological diversity<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Encourage empathy and respectful engagement<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Promote mental health and well being\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Combat hate and intolerance of all kinds<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Give students a strong understanding of free speech issues<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">John Sarrouf, of Essential Partners, said, \u201cThis guide is needed now more than ever! It provides strategies and tools for educational stakeholders to shape a more empathic, dynamic, resilient educational system for their students.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Caroline Mehl, of the Constructive Dialogue Institute, said that it\u2019s \u201can invaluable resource for educators and students alike.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We suggest updating curriculums with resources that foster empathy and diversity of views. One such resource is our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/buildersmovement.org\/3csclassroom\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3Cs Classroom Curriculum<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a framework aimed at empowering high school teachers to foster braver and more constructive classrooms using the 3Cs (curiosity, compassion, and courage).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note that our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/buildersmovement.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Builders-Education-Resource-Action-Guide-June-24-2024.pdf\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Education Resource &amp; Action Guide<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a living resource that we\u2019ll update over time.
