That&#8217;s the starting point.&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2014 Pano Kanelos, from the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">12 Geniuses<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> podcast<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the latest episode of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/buildersmovement.org\/2024\/08\/21\/debate-without-hate-podcast-series-navigate-divisive-election\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDebate Without Hate: Elections 2024,\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Pano Kanelos, president of the University of Austin, discusses education and polarization. Are there strategies to encourage open dialogue on college campuses? What role can students, professors, and administrators play in reducing political toxicity, contempt, and extremism?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Dr. Pano Kanelos: Cultivating Better Dialogue Amidst Campus Division\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vJgC1GT39ng?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Pano discusses the left-leaning \u201cmonoculture\u201d found on many college campuses and why this can be a source of division and dysfunction. A monolithic alignment of culture results in less room for different ideas that deserve attention and respect.
