And that&#8217;s what led to establishing the first ever bipartisan caucus of young members of Congress, which is the Congressional Future Caucus.\u201d<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2014 <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steven Olikara on the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">12 Geniuses<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> podcast<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the latest episode of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/buildersmovement.org\/2024\/08\/21\/debate-without-hate-podcast-series-navigate-divisive-election\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDebate Without Hate: Elections 2024,\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Steven Olikara, founder of the organization Future Caucus and former candidate for Wisconsin\u2019s Senate, talks about our divides and about why it\u2019s important to get younger leaders involved in politics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Steven Olikara: The Case for Electing Younger Leaders\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CNk4U6e3JNA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><i><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steven has been an on-air political commentator on CNN, NBC News, Fox News, and many more. He talks about the difference between how pundits act on air and how they talk to each other off-camera on these shows:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Being behind the scenes with many elected officials, as well as some of the most prominent media personalities [&#8230;] they have extremely constructive, respectful conversations behind closed doors, behind the scenes when the camera&#8217;s not on, and then they go on cable news or they go on any kind of media platform and that tone changes.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steven says \u201ca lot of incentives, media, political, and otherwise\u201d are \u201ccausing them to polarize as they go into the public limelight.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the same way, there are incentives in Congress to not arrive at solutions.
